GreenPAC exists because environmental leadership across political parties and levels of government is the only way to realize change at the pace and scale needed for a sustainable future.
Whether you’re looking at the costly impacts on every province and territory of 2024’s wildfires and floods - intensified by record-shattering temperatures, last month’s disappointing COP, or the divisiveness bogging down political progress in Canada, it’s reasonable to feel frustrated.
Not to be overly simplistic but it’s important to remember that change is hard and rarely linear. It’s also unstoppable once in motion. Despite geopolitics, stakes laid by the beneficiaries of the status quo, misinformation, or elections, the clean energy transition is irreversible and unfolding at an astounding rate. The International Energy Agency estimates renewables will make up almost 50% of the global electricity mix by 2030 - just five years away. The pace and momentum for change, however, are up to us.
That’s where GreenPAC fits in. Through election activities that position the environment as a national priority and cross-partisan work within political systems to boost collaborative leadership capacity, our work raises the environment above games of political football.
As we head toward Canada’s next election, your support is crucial in elevating the environment on the agenda. Please consider donating today to help us reach our year-end goal of $8,000 by December 31. Your generosity will directly support GreenPAC’s ongoing work to foster environmental leadership across political parties and levels of government.
Thank you,
Sarah Van Exan
