Peter Julian (NDP, New Westminster—Burnaby) is one of the founding members and former Executive Director of the Council of Canadians. As an MP since 2004, he served in the last session of Parliament as NDP House Leader and Finance Critic. Julian has been an active member of the House, bringing forward environmental motions and bills in every parliament, including to combat systemic racism, for corporate social responsibility, to halt the Trans Mountain pipeline, for the investment in a Green New Deal and more. He frequently collaborates with labour and environmental groups and has worked with the Qayqayt First Nation to terminate the Trans Mountain pipeline project.
