Dan Mazier (Conservative, Dauphin—Swan River—Neepawa) has been a major advocate for sustainable agriculture, natural infrastructure and renewable energy. He co-founded the Elton Energy Cooperative, a provincial initiative committed to developing community-based renewable energy projects in Manitoba. As President of Keystone Agriculture Producers, he advocated for natural solutions to protect agriculture and biodiversity. Mazier played a key role in the development of Manitoba’s Green Plan, carbon pricing system and biofuel innovation strategy. Elected as an MP in 2019, Mazier served as Deputy Shadow Minister for Environment and Climate Change and on the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans. He formerly served on the boards of several environment-focused Manitoba organizations.
