Dan Mazier is a farmer that has been active in supporting green, natural infrastructure and renewable energy. He co-founded the Elton Energy Cooperative, a provincial initiative committed to developing community-based renewable energy projects in Manitoba. As President of Keystone Agriculture Producers, he advocated for an Alternative Land Use Services (ALUS) type approach to protect agriculture, wildlife and natural spaces. In this role he also worked with the Province of Manitoba to design a carbon pricing system that would ensure farmers were part of the solution.

Mazier has served as a board member for the Manitoba Sustainable Energy Association, the Mid-Assiniboine Conservation District, and the Assiniboine River Basin Initiative.
