Jim Carr has been involved in planning and implementing climate strategies for years. He was a board member and Canadian vice chair of the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), and was appointed to a task force on climate change by then-Manitoba premier Gary Doer. His most notable experience was working as one of nine presidents of leading think tanks who created the framework for the Canadian Energy Strategy. Jim has been a vocal advocate for investing in green technology and renewable energy sources, and for protecting natural lands. He currently serves as Minister of International Trade Diversification.
