Chair of the Board, former Managing Director of Artscape Wychwood Barns
Margo Welch has a background in not-for-profit management and has held senior positions in the cultural and environmental sectors. Her interest in environmental issues was sparked while a student at Trent University and developed as a passion while working at the Royal Ontario Museum. As the Executive Director of Toronto Botanical Garden, she was able to apply her commitment to the environment while overseeing the creation of sustainable teaching gardens and the first LEED certified building in Ontario’s charitable sector.
Margo’s interests include sustainable building, conservation and food security. She is currently the Interim Managing Director of Artscape Wychwood Barns, a cultural Hub that combines arts, culture, food security, urban agriculture and environmental activities in a repurposed century-old former streetcar repair facility. In addition to her work with GreenPAC, Margo is a volunteer for the International Conservation Fund of Canada.
