W. Scott Thurlow

Lawyer and adviser in federal and provincial regulatory policies for environment, energy, and chemicals management

W. Scott Thurlow advises an array of clients on environmental matters, and serves as Legal Counsel and Director of Chemicals Management for the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada.  Prior to returning to private practice, Scott served as the President of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association (CRFA), representing the interests of the producers of ethanol and renewable diesel in Canada. In 2005, he served as the Director of Parliamentary Affairs for the Minister of Natural Resources. 

He also has a specialized practice focusing on the laws and regulations governing lobbyist registration, lobbying and elections in Canada.  

Scott holds a BA Hons (Political Science) from Carleton University, a Masters' degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario and an LL.B from the University of Ottawa's Law School.
