David Ouchterlony

Physician, member of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine

Dr. David Ouchterlony is a physician specializing in family medicine and palliative care. He is a member of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and a Certificant and Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Dr. Ouchterlony served as Family-Physician-in-Chief and Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee at the Wellesley Hospital in Toronto. He was Founding Director of the Decatur, Illinois Family Practice Residency Program.

Now semi-retired, he serves as a investigating coroner in Toronto. He is an avid athlete who lettered in varsity basketball and was later a member of Canada's gold-medal-winning World Master's Games team in 1989. Dr. Ouchterlony has four children and six grandchildren.

He has a strong interest in social justice and environmental issues, especially climate change. He supports several environmental organizations, and is proud to be associated with GreenPAC. He sees it as an exciting and original approach to fostering environmental leadership in Canada.
